This is one of the major three waterfalls in Otway Ranges. This one is located north to Apollo Bay along the coast of Victoria, Australia. The drive takes about 3.5 hours one way.
The region has more rainfall comparing to Melbourne CBD. This particular waterfall is surrounded by beech tree forest.
There are a lot of chunky big mosquittos that have fangs like elephant seals. (Yes, I am exagerating). Lucky that Dengue fever is not prevalent around here. The walk is quite challenging as I carry so many camera bodies and lenses up and down the stairs that are rather wobbly.
The recent bush fire had brought the whole place down to ashes. The falls is now no longer there now.

This place is fantastic!
Great picture!
Léia :-)
The Nature will bring back the falls. Except for the beech tree, the rest are so tropical look.
Doesn't seem possible that such a lush and green looking location could ever burn. Wow.. too bad. At lest you have this to remember it, though. Beautiful shot.
how sad.
another one paradise place. unfortunately fire destroys such places
Beautiful. Shame about the mosquitoes...they are awful pointless bugs. Ours aren't really out yet but they will be very soon.
This looks like an enchanted falls...so surrounded by a lot of elements. Beautiful photo..
Everyone, thank you kindly for your visit. I am so glad that my posts are read and appreciated by everyone :)
I wanted to go there too but was told that this was one of the many places destroyed by the bushfire. I was so bumped I wasn't able to visit these beautiful places. Thanks for putting this up.. Let's hope these will be restored in time.. Beautiful shot on a beautiful place.. :)
It should be bummed not bumped.. lol! Cheers! ;P
I hope something thinks of planting some bamboo to bring the water canopy back there. It is such a nice place.
It may be a fair drive, but sure seems worth it. Gorgeous place. Be careful with those cameras and lenses, though!
And I know what you mean about mosquitoes...I lived in Minnesota for awhile and the mosquito is the state bird!
;-)
I'm sorry to hear that this beautiful place is no longer there. I am glad you had the opportunity to capture it.
beautiful place, and beautiful water fall
